Record Keeping

Payroll records for covered workers were not kept as required by WAC 296 17 35201.  As a result, hours will be estimated by dividing the gross wages by the average hourly wage or multiplying the number of workers by 480 per quarter. This penalty is left to the discretion of the Field Auditor and Litigation Specialist at Reconsideraton. The Litigaition Specialist is told to assess the highest figure and override the Field Auditor.
