Unregistered Employer

Employers are required to have an industrial insurance account and pay industrial insurance premiums as required by RCW 51.12.010.  This insurance pays medical expenses and lost wages in the event of an on-the-job injury. An industrial insurance account was not open before workers were hired.  An unregistered employer penalty will be assessed starting at $500 according to RCW 51.48.010.
